Irati Film, during its premiere weekend, has achieved some excellent numbers regarding the amount of spectators it has driven to the theaters. The movie by Paul Urkijo, even though it was only distributed 112 copies along all of Spain, made its way to the list of the most watched movies during its debut weekend.

So much so, it became the best performing premiere movie in Basque of all time. Moreover, Irati Film was also the #1 movie in the Basque Country during the weekend.

Without a doubt, very positive numbers which lead to some optimism regarding the upcoming weeks. It seems we’ll have Irati in the theaters for quite some time. Don’t miss it!

Alava born Paul Urkijo assisted on Friday February 17th to the premiere of its second film, Irati, at the Golem Baiona movie theater in Pamplona.

By his side were actors Iñigo Aranbarri, Patxi Bisquert & Elena Uriz, as well as the kid Leire Indurain, among others, among other team members which consisted of many people from Navarra. This is the case for Sara Mazkiaran, direction assistant, or Mikel Serrano, art director.
